Andy Rubin seems like a very interesting character and further reinforces how a geek with a strong vision can change the world. Just check out that track record of his, some very successful ventures there and even the "failures" resulted in rather good outcomes, at least for him and his investors.

Also, this is a very well written, long-form article, the type I find very enjoyable when combined with Marco Arment's Instapaper or Readability. I can't stress enough how much those services improve reading information on the web.

I've owned one of Tom Bihn 's messenger bags before, and I can attest to the quality of the workmanship and attention to detail. I went with the Smart Alec over a Timbuk2 H.A.L. 2011 for both the simplicity of design and more importantly, molecularity of the inside; I can attach dedicated laptop protection or remove it for maximum empty volume for hiking or other activities. Now I have to wait for it to arrive!
