The passing of an era, as far as I know, all the founding fathers of computing have retired at this point. I look forward to the continually bright future of Apple.

I've owned one of Tom Bihn 's messenger bags before, and I can attest to the quality of the workmanship and attention to detail. I went with the Smart Alec over a Timbuk2 H.A.L. 2011 for both the simplicity of design and more importantly, molecularity of the inside; I can attach dedicated laptop protection or remove it for maximum empty volume for hiking or other activities. Now I have to wait for it to arrive!

A very interesting list. I think I've now added a few more books to my "To Read" list.

Two favorite things, coming together: NPR and SciFi/Fantasy books. I found it interesting, when going through the list, I was debating my entries based upon works that I thought were classics, ones that were very well done and serious books and finally ones that I just plain loved while I read them, no matter what age I read them. After passing this link around my friends, there were some universal themes emerging: o This was hard o This list is missing x,y, and z o Wow, I need to read a lot more books on this list.
